The First Day
Aftercare is crucial for ensuring the longevity of your tattoo. On the first day, it is important to keep the tattoo clean and dry. Gently wash the area with warm water and mild soap, and pat it dry with a clean towel. Avoid using hot water or harsh chemicals, as they can damage the tattoo. Apply a thin layer of fragrance-free lotion to moisturize the area, and avoid exposing it to direct sunlight or soaking it in water. Remember to wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing that does not rub against the tattoo.
Healing Process
The healing process is a crucial time for your tattoo. During this time, your tattoo will scab and peel as the skin heals. It is important to keep the area clean and moisturized to prevent infection and scarring. Avoid picking or scratching the scabs, and do not expose the tattoo to direct sunlight or soak it in water. Apply a fragrance-free lotion two to three times a day, and wear loose-fitting clothing to prevent rubbing against the tattoo.

Special Attention
Certain areas of the body require special attention during the healing process. Tattoos on the hands, feet, and joints are more prone to infection and scarring, and may take longer to heal. It is important to keep these areas elevated and avoid using them excessively during the healing process. Follow the aftercare instructions provided by your tattoo artist, and do not hesitate to contact them if you have any concerns.
